Venezia’s recent home record against Monza

Venezia will approach this match with confidence after winning Monza’s two most recent visits to Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo.

The clubs met in Serie A on April 12, 2025, when Daniel Fila scored in the 72nd minute to give Venezia a 1–0 victory. The home side finished the match with ten players but protected its narrow lead until the final whistle.

Monza returned to the Penzo in Serie B on December 13, 2025. Venezia won 2–0 after second-half goals from Kike Pérez and Andrea Adorante, recording another clean sheet against the Biancorossi.

The 2026 fixture will therefore give Monza an opportunity to reverse those recent results, while Venezia will aim to extend their winning home sequence against the Lombardy club.

A valuable match before Christmas

Venezia vs Monza is scheduled for the final Serie A weekend before the Christmas break, with no league fixtures planned for December 26–27. That position in the calendar could make the match particularly important as both teams try to finish the year positively.

Matches between teams with similar objectives often carry additional importance. Every point can influence the league table, and the compact surroundings of the Penzo should help create an intense atmosphere for this late-December encounter.

For visitors spending the festive period in Venice, the fixture provides an opportunity to experience the city at a quieter time of year while attending a live Serie A match.

Football at Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo

Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo is located on Sant’Elena island, beside the Venice Biennale grounds. It is the second-oldest football stadium in Italy and has served as Venezia FC’s historic home beside the lagoon.

The unusual location makes attending a Venezia match a memorable experience. Supporters can approach the stadium on foot along the waterfront or travel by vaporetto to Sant’Elena.

The compact stands keep spectators close to the pitch and provide a more traditional atmosphere than many larger modern stadiums. Venezia vs Monza is therefore a strong option for visitors who want to experience authentic Italian football during their stay in Venice.
