A major Serie A match in Venice

Venezia vs Inter brings together the lagoon club and one of Italian football’s most recognisable teams. The contrast between Venezia’s distinctive home setting and Inter’s travelling support should create a memorable midweek atmosphere at the Penzo.

Inter will arrive in Venice between home matches against Fiorentina and Como, with the Milan derby also scheduled immediately after this fixture. The demanding period could make the match particularly important for both clubs as they compete for valuable Serie A points.

For international visitors, this fixture offers the opportunity to combine an evening of Italian football with a stay in Venice. Book your tickets in advance and plan your journey to the stadium once the final kick-off time has been announced.

The previous Venezia vs Inter match

The clubs last met at Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo in Serie A on January 12, 2025. Inter earned a narrow 1–0 victory, with Matteo Darmian scoring the only goal during the first half.

Venezia remained competitive throughout the match, created late pressure and came close to equalising when Gianluca Busio struck the post. The close result demonstrated that matches between these teams at the Penzo can remain finely balanced until the final whistle.

Venezia also have a respectable historical home record against the Nerazzurri. Before that 2025 encounter, the clubs had met 13 times at the Penzo in Serie A, with Venezia recording five victories, four draws and four defeats.

Experience football at Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo

Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo is located on the island of Sant’Elena, beside the Venice Biennale area. Opened in 1913, it is the second-oldest football stadium in Italy and provides a matchday setting unlike a conventional modern arena.

Supporters can travel towards Sant’Elena by vaporetto or walk along the waterfront from central Venice. Arriving through the lagoon makes attending a Venezia home match part of the wider experience of visiting the city.

For a high-demand fixture against Inter, spectators should allow additional time for transport, security checks and entry into the stadium.
